Azalea Coast Library Association (ACLA)

ACLA’s next meeting will be on Thursday, February 22, starting at 5pm in the Michael Y. Taylor Meeting Room at the main branch of the Pender County Public Library in Burgaw. Many thanks to Shannon Kidney (Teen and Adult Services Librarian, Pender County Public Library) for hosting us! Conference prep will be our primary focus but, of course, we always enjoy hearing library and staff updates and are poised for new business, as well.

Take I40 W to exit 408/Rocky Point. Turn left onto HWY 210. Pass the truck stop/McDonalds and turn right onto US 117 N at the traffic light. Stay on US 117 N approximately 7 miles. Turn left onto S Walker St (Scoops Ice Cream Shop is a large landmark at this turn). Stay on S Walker approximately ¾ mile, then turn right onto S Cowan St. The library will be ahead 1 mile on the left.

The Azalea Coast Library Association will be holding its quarterly meeting for the summer on Thursday, August 26 from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. We will meet in person at the Main Branch of the Pender County Public Library (103 S Cowan St, Burgaw). There will be an opportunity to hear the story of the Carolina Heritage Collection Library Annex across the street and explore its resources.
